Our Parsha, Tzav, continues the description of the various types of sacrifices started in Parshat Vayikra. The Torah describes the sacrifices from the perspective of the donator in Vayikra, and this week deals with the duties of the Cohanim.
The Torah of the Olah – the burnt offering
The first description (that the Torah itself calls a "torah) is about the Olah, the burnt offering – not the type given as a donation or to fulfill an oath, but the daily olah, that begins and ends the daily sacrifices on the alter.
