Phinchas the son of Eleazar the son of Aaron the kohen has turned my anger away from the children of Israel
And his reward:
לָכֵ֖ן אֱמֹ֑ר הִנְנִ֨י נֹתֵ֥ן ל֛וֹ אֶת בְּרִיתִ֖י שָׁלֽם.
Therefore, say, "I hereby give him my covenant of peace
We will ask a simple question:- what is a covenant of peace? If we answer that peace is the task of the tribe of Kohanim, just as his grandfather Aharon was "a lover and pursuer of peace", then what makes Pinchas special?
